• Honor Roll
The school believes that a student who earns excellent grades or demonstrates special skills should be rewarded with medals or certificates. In order for a student to be on the honor roll, he/she must accomplish the following requirements each quarter:
• A 90 point average or above in both Language Arts and in Mathematics.
• An overall grade point average of 90 or above.
• An 80 point average or above in behavior for all subjects.
If one of these requirements is not met, the student cannot be on the honor roll.
Any sixth grade student who receives a 95 or above for their midterm or final grade in any subject prior to taking the midterm or final exam each semester, is exempt from taking the midterm or final exam in that
subject. The exam grade will be the same as the overall average corresponding to the semester. Students who exonerate an exam must be informed of this prior to the exam date.
Each month an excellence awards ceremony will reward those students who have achieved honors during the year in academics, athletics, and behavior. Parents and teachers/staff will also be awarded at this ceremony.
